"Devil's Dream (Traditional)"

Tom Farley: Acoustic Fingerpicking

Bob Smith: Acoustic Flatpicking

Greg Wikle: Mandolin

Shea Roebuck: Bass Guitar

Bob Smith is a mindful engineer...providing the best performance and recording situation

that would capture the spirit of four musical friends...

allowing for a great live studio moment to truly shine through.

"Devil's Dream" is a traditional bluegrass song that was spontaneously recorded at Earworks Studio

by Tom Farley, Bob Smith, Greg Wikle and Shea Roebuck...four guys just having some fun.

I had never played the song before...the four friends had never played it together before.

Just a great magic studio performance moment...live and in color...first and only take...

re-engineered and mastered by Tom.

"Our Better Angels" by Tom Farley

Tom Farley: Acoustic Guitar; Vocals

Recording Engineer: Alton Riddick

A hope and a prayer that the better angels of our nature will break through the hate and prejudice

that dominates our society...and our country...

poisoning all of the incredible possibilities and opportunities

that can only come from a respect, caring, and love for each other.

It is also is a benchmark moment for me and Alton: our first music recording session together.

The results are dynamic and impressive.

"Say You Will" by Tom Farley

Tom Farley: Vocals; Lap Steel Guitar; Percussion/Bass/Organ Composition

Greg Wikle: Electric Guitar Rhythm and Lead

Tried out some new vocal angles on this gritty little rocker...

with great electric guitar lead and rhythm tracks created by Greg Wikle,

it is already a favorite in the "rock and fun" category.

Another studio duet from Tom and Greg...

continuing a great recording and performance history.

"If I Could" by Steve Gallagher

Steve Gallagher: Acoustic 12-String Guitar; Flute; Strings; Vocals

Tom Farley: Acoustic Six-String Guitar

A wonderful multi-instrumental performance from Steve Gallagher...

acoustic in its foundation...spiritual in its lyrics.

A great vocal performance along with strings, flute, and twelve string acoustic guitar.

"I'll Remember (Instrumental)"

Tom Farley: Acoustic Guitars; Background Vocals

Peter Shonerd: Percussion

Steve Gallagher: Strings

Donnie Satterwhite: Pedal Steel Guitar

Originally written (with lyrics) as a testament to the experience of Alzheimer's Disease,

this song continues to inspire reflection and interpretation.

With a great percussion section from Peter Shonerd,

a beautiful string section from Steve Gallagher,

inventive Pedal Steel Guitar stylings and atmosphere from Donnie Satterwhite,

and new Background Vocal sections,

the original acoustic guitar tracks (from the 2016"By the Fence in the Sun" CD)

have been redefined...embracing a new sound and feeling.
